Cinte Techtextil China to showcase Asia’s most innovative suppliers in Korea and Taiwan Pavilions

16 Sep 2016

Cinte Techtextil China will open its doors in less than one month, with a final exhibitor lineup confirmed that is one of the most diverse yet. In addition to pavilions from Belgium, Germany and Italy as well as a European Zone and Chinese regional pavilions, the Korea and Taiwan Pavilions feature some of these countries’ best technical textiles and nonwovens suppliers.

With around 450 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions set to take part, and the first-time participation of the Korea Pavilion, buyers will be presented with a wider range of sourcing options at this edition.

The organisers of both pavilions are optimistic about their industries’ chances in the near future. Korea Textile Trade Association (KTTA) report that the Korean technical textiles market is expected to continue growing at around 5% per annum for the foreseeable future. This increased demand is partly due to ‘super fibres’ such as aramid, carbon and PPS fibres they say, of which Korean producers have a price competitiveness compared to other countries.

KTTA comment that the special products to watch out for in the pavilion this year include textiles integrated with ICT elements such as fabrics made from piezoelectric fibre which have sensing properties, as well as high visibility fabrics using LED lights and optical fibres for use in safety clothing. Other products on offer in the pavilion are fabrics for protective wear, heat & flame resistant yarn and fabrics, reflective fabrics and automotive seat fabrics.

Two of the big names in this pavilion are Sam Hwa Machinery and Daejung Co Ltd. Sam Hwa are manufacturers of needle punching machines, as well as nonwoven complete production lines for geotextiles, automotive interiors, artificial leather and more. They currently export to around 25 countries worldwide. Daejung, meanwhile, produce high tenacity polyester (polypropylene) woven geotextiles, as well as bi-axial and uni-axial woven geotextiles made of polyester multifilament yarn, and bi-axial woven geotextiles made of polypropylene multifilament yarn.

Taiwan exhibitors look to benefit from Mainland China’s growing demand

True to form, the Taiwan Pavilion will be full of innovative products that their producers are well known for. According to pavilion organisers Taiwan Technical Textiles Association, Taiwan’s strong textile production base, R&D capabilities and market acumen place them in a strong position to excel in the technical textiles and nonwovens market by creating distinctive, high value adding products. In a unique position to evaluate the Mainland Chinese market, Taiwan Technical Textiles Association also report that as China continues to open up its market and welcome foreign capital to increase the country’s technical capabilities and R&D abilities, their need for technical textiles and nonwovens is growing rapidly.

Notable exhibitors in this year’s pavilion include Mytrex which will showcase melt-blown nonwoven fabrics with sound absorption features for automobile interiors, a product that was previously used in the filter sector. Kae Hwa Industrial has further reduced the weight of its 10gsm microporous PE film for the hygiene sector, while it can also be used for packaging. F.T.C are bringing their blended flame-retardant fabrics to the fair with bacterial resistance, deodorisation, anti-static and wear-proof features. Advance Hitech Textile feature PTFE film which has a high level of impermeability making it ideal for outdoor wear, while its lifejacket fabric has European quality certification. Last but not least, Healthy Machinery have a range of machines for producing medical textiles.

Cinte Techtextil China’s product groups include technology and machinery, woven and knitted fabrics, nonwovens, coated textiles, composites, surface and bonding techniques, fibres and yarns, and more. The fair is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA).
