Next month’s Cinte Techtextil China attracts more suppliers of pandemic-related products

17 Aug 2020

As the 2 – 4 September Cinte Techtextil China draws nearer, visitor enquiries about products that can be used to combat the current as well as future pandemics continue to flood in. As the fair features products for 12 application areas spanning the full range of potential uses of modern textile technologies, buyers have a wide range of products and solutions to choose from to meet these needs. The new Medical and Protective Zone will also offer even more sourcing options this year. The fair will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in halls E1, E2 and E3.

Taking place next month, Cinte Techtextil China will be one of the first in-person events for this industry to be held this year. Coupled with the fact that industrial output figures for China continue their steady recovery, while demand has surged for certain technical textile and nonwoven products due to the coronavirus, strong results are expected at the fair. While 12 application areas are covered at Cinte Techtextil, ranging from Clothtech, Geotech and Medtech to Mobiltech, Protech and Sportech, certain areas such as Medtech and Protech are set to experience higher demand this year. Some of the exhibitor highlights in these areas include:

Sanitized (Switzerland) (booth no. E1-E02) is a leading worldwide producer of antimicrobial hygiene function and material protection for textiles and polymers. This year at Cinte Techtextil China, they will showcase their antimicrobials, antimicrobial masterbatch and organic antimicrobials.

For more than 65 years, CHT (Germany) (booth no. E1-A01) have offered innovative and high-grade chemicals, auxiliaries and additives as well as services in numerous industrial fields and markets. With the current epidemic in mind, CHT offers special functional finishes that can further optimise the protective performance of face masks – from ordinary textile masks and medical face masks to PPE or FFP masks.

New Medical and Protective Zone to meet worldwide demand

With the surge in demand for Medtech and Protech related products and technologies in recent months, the fair’s new Medical and Protective Zone has attracted a wide range of suppliers. Domestic Medtech exhibitors in the zone will feature a range of products such as disposable masks, automatic foldable respirator masks, nonwoven protective clothing, as well as machinery for production and processing including for ear-loop welding, breathing valve perforation and mask bagging. Companies include Winner Medical, Decota (Huizhou) Elastics, Shandong Kangguan Medical Technology, Tianjin Richpeace AI, Sichuan Eupon, Safmax (Qingdao) Protective Technology, Shenzhen Jiuwu Equipment Intelligent Technology, Zhejiang Lanhine Medical Products and more.

In the zone’s display area, overseas exhibitors will also be showcasing various protective products. First-time exhibitor FMMG Technical Textiles (Italy) (booth no. E1-B16) will unveil their flame retardant, bio-smart and bio-clean technical yarns, while returning exhibitor IBENA Textilwerke GmbH (Germany) (booth no. E1-A15) will be showcasing their fabrics for firefighting gear that are produced with DuPont aramid material.

Cotton Council International participate in Cinte Techtextil for first time

Cotton Council International (CCI) (booth no. E1-F02) is a non-profit trade association with 60 years of experience that promotes American cotton fibre and manufactured cotton products around the globe with their COTTON USA trademark. Having participated in many of Messe Frankfurt’s textile fairs around the world, 2020 marks the first time they will exhibit at Cinte Techtextil China.

At this year’s edition, they will promote US cotton spunlace fabrics, wipes, kitchen tissues, facial masks, cosmetic removers and more. They will also have a focus on sustainability at the fair, with a new protocol. CCI state: “In a period of ever greater supply chain scrutiny and a growing demand for transparency and traceability, The US Cotton Trust Protocol sets a new standard for more sustainably grown cotton. Participating brands and retailers will gain access to US cotton backed by year-over-year data to help them demonstrate their environmental credentials.”

Traceability is another issue they will present a solution to at the fair with Oritain. Oritain is a product test, analysing the actual fibre itself at various stages throughout the supply chain, providing businesses with reassurance in the integrity of their products. Oritain can test fibre at any stage in the manufacturing process to verify the origin back to the specific country, region or farm.

Meet onsite or meet online: new business matching service offered

Following Messe Frankfurt’s first textile fairs to be held since January which took place last month – Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics and the debut Yarn Expo Shenzhen – Cinte Techtextil China will also provide the chance for buyers who cannot attend in-person to source from exhibitors as these two fairs successfully did.

Buyers who pre-register for the fair will be automatically enrolled into a new online business matching service for free. Here, they have access to the exhibitor search platform where they can match with their chosen exhibitors, then send enquiries and even conduct video chats with these suppliers.

For those buyers attending the fair in person, they can access the same search platform, and schedule meetings with their chosen exhibitors during the fair. Visitor registration can be accessed here: http://vis.eastfair.com/cinteen20/Index/Index

Cinte Techtextil China’s product categories cover 12 application areas, which comprehensively span the full range of potential uses of modern textile technologies. These categories also span the entire industry, from upstream equipment and raw materials providers to finished fabrics, chemicals and other solutions. This full coverage of product groups and application areas ensures the fair is an effective business platform for the entire industry.

Cinte Techtextil China is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA).
